The National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS), representing students of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has issued an appeal to the institution’s management regarding a recent adjustment in school fees.
In a statement addressed to students, the NAKSS executives expressed appreciation for the efforts of Rector and the school management in pursuing academic excellence despite Nigeria’s current economic challenges. However, acknowledging the concerns raised by the fee increment amidst widespread economic hardships, the union humbly requested the management, led by the respected Rector, to review the adjustment considering the financial strains on students and families.
NAKSS therefore apologised on behalf of the institution’s Students’ Union who had October 8, 2025 reacted prematurely to the increment without proper consultation with management.
The union urged students to remain calm and law-abiding, avoiding actions that could harm the institution’s reputation NAKSS affirmed commitment to respectful dialogue with management, representing students’ interests with integrity, and keeping students informed.
